BEETHOVEN’S JINGLE

The idea to mix and mash Beethoven’s Ode to Joy and Pierpoint’s Jingle Bells actually came from the idea of a student of mine when I first started teaching in the middle school level. I began my group of students using the Habits of a Successful Beginning Band. As we got closer to the holidays, we were discussing what we should play. One of my students said we should play jingle bells and I agreed but I just didn’t want to do the traditional way so this was my first creation for the kids in my new program.
